CCI (cardio) Exam & CCI (cardio) Certification Info

CCI stands for Cardiovascular Credentialing International, a non-profit organization that provides credentials and certification for cardiovascular professionals. To become certified, interested individuals must follow a few steps:

Step 1: Eligibility and Application

Before applying for a certification exam, you must first ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements. These requirements vary depending on the type of certification you're seeking, but generally, you will need a combination of education and work experience. Once you've confirmed your eligibility, you can complete the online application through the CCI website.

You will need to provide details about your education, work experience, and any relevant certifications. Once your application is complete, you'll need to pay the application fee. After submitting your application, CCI will review it and, if you are eligible, you will receive an authorization to test (ATT) letter.

Step 2: Scheduling the Exam

After receiving your ATT, you can schedule your exam. Exams are administered by Pearson VUE, a leading provider of professional testing services. You can schedule your exam online at the Pearson VUE website or over the phone. It's recommended to schedule your exam as soon as possible after receiving your ATT to ensure availability at your preferred testing center.

Step 3: Taking the Exam

On the day of your exam, arrive at the testing center at least 30 minutes early. You will need to present a valid, government-issued ID. The exam format will depend on the type of certification you're seeking, but most exams are multiple-choice and are administered on a computer.

After the exam, you will receive a preliminary score report. Your official score report will be available on the CCI website within six weeks of your exam date.

Location Information

The exams can be taken at any Pearson VUE testing center. These centers are located in various cities across the United States and around the world. You can find the nearest testing center on the Pearson VUE website.
