The National Asthma Educator Certification Board (NAECB) is a non-profit organization that promotes the highest standard of asthma care and education by providing a certification exam to healthcare professionals. This certification demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge and skills in the field of asthma education.

Step 1: Eligibility and Application

Eligible candidates must have a clinical professional license or credential in a health discipline that is applicable to asthma education. They should also have a minimum of 1000 hours of professional practice in the field of asthma education. The application for the exam can be completed on the NAECB website. You will need to provide proof of your eligibility and pay the application fee.

Step 2: Scheduling the Exam

Once your application has been processed, you will receive an email notification to schedule your exam. The exam is administered by PSI Services LLC and can be scheduled through their website. There are testing centers located throughout the United States and Canada. You can choose the location and date that is most convenient for you.

Step 3: Taking the Exam

On the day of the exam, you should arrive at the testing center at least 15 minutes before your scheduled exam time. You will need to bring two forms of identification with you. The exam consists of 175 multiple-choice questions and you will have four hours to complete it.
